My sister bought a new condo a few days ago. I would like to know if this happens in your area also?
Does the building management have the master key which can be used to open the locks of all the units in the building?
If yes, then can they enter our condo for "inspection", even when there is no one inside?
I am asking this because my sister told me that someone had entered her home and locked the doors again while going. A couple of things went missing too.
She says that the only person that can enter is the one who has the master key.
She really wants to change the lock as quickly as possible. But upon inquiring, I came to know that we can call a locksmith only to reprogram the original cylinder. We cannot replace it.
Why do condo managers want us to keep our original cylinder? |
