Hi,
I am working in a hospital. In fact, I am new to the hospital in which am currently working. I have heard many patients complaining about the unhygienic conditions existing there. I feel so sad when writing this. Only a small percentage of the people are satisfied with the present situation.
There are cases where hospital stay can lead to life-threatening infections. Recently, I have come across a case when an elderly person with lung disease, after hospitalized, caught with a major infection. Hospital staph infections affect patients with low immunity, which can eventually result in their death.
The infections are mainly airborne where microbes are discharged from an infected person via coughing, sneezing, etc. The discharged microbes remain suspended in air and illness is caused when the microbe content is inhaled. I have been searching for ways where this situation could be improved. It's high time to tackle the problem.
I have seen antimicrobial air filters for hospitals. They help in removing the deadly pathogens from the air. And hospital authorities should pay higher attention to the matter. I just to want to reveal the matter to the public. Expect your suggestions on the matter and some methods where this situation can be improved. Thank you. |
