It is a general issue seen in many households. There are simple methods that can be used to solve this issue. I read that the cold and hot water are reversed by the little cartridge present inside the knob. The cartridge needs to be adjusted to 180 degrees. Unscrew the center screw that holds your reversed hot and cold faucet. When the handle screw is done, remove the handle. Remove the ring and clip and turn the cartridge to 180 degrees. The cartridge is the main thing which controls the hot and cold water. Put the ring and clip back. And fix the handle, screw, and cap. Turn on and test the water.
